Day 28 of 30 for 30.... Still trying to catch up... I wanted to do something I haven't done before and someone posted a cupcake so I thought that would be a great idea.

Day 26 this is dedicated to my cousin Catherine Mattei who lost her battle with PTSD.  She was a hero to all who knew her!  I hope you have found peace.  We miss you!

Day 24-  My friend Tom posted a very small picture on my blog for me to paint.  I couldn't see it very clearly so I made up my own version..

Day 23-  I didn't have a lot of time tonight to get a "masterpiece" on paper so I chose a single strawberry so I could keep going with my challenge.  I haven't done drawn one before so I thought it would be fun.  :-)

Day 22-  Today is the first day of Autumn and thought it would be nice to celebrate the fall season.  I asked some friends and with all their suggestions... I found this and thought it would be fun.  Done in soft pastels.

Day 18- Didn't have too much time so I did a quick sketch in color pencil of a window box sent to me by my friend Laurie when I posted that I've always wanted to draw one.

Day 17 of 30 for 30-Say hello to Harley!... My friend Carolyn's pup. I hope she likes him...He's almost done.. just a little more to do on the bottom but since I'm a day behind I thought I should post him.

Day 16- Trying to catch up... saw a picture of a butterfly and wanted to draw it....   I kind of made it up as I went.... Hopefully today I can get back on track!

Day 15 - I was thinking of the end of summer and thought of boats...  This one looked lonely so I thought I would do a quick color pencil picture.

We are almost half way done and it's gone by so fast....

Day 14 was a picture of a cute cat posted by Danielle.  Drawing cat faces are one my favorite things to draw along with butterflies.

The picture I was working out wasn't coming out like I planned so I ditched it and did a simple daffodil for my mother in law who's Birthday it is today.  She left us way too soon.    Happy Birthday Lisa.

Day 12- I saw this picture of a swan and it's reflection and found it so simple and pretty.  This was done in color pencil with a highlight of pastels.   Looking forward to what's next......

Day 11 of 30 for 30.  I was playing with my color pencils and nothing was turning out quite right... so even though it was hot as blazes I was thinking of the autumn colors that will soon be falling,   I decided to do a colorful leaf.  I also found a new blending technique for color pencils and tried it.  I think it came out alright.

 I will be back to getting back to doing some drawings/paintings from the many photos from my friends who posted on this blog soon.

Day 9- I couldn't concentrate on doing anything new so I actually finished a previous piece of my favorite bird... Done in pastels/color pencil.

Well today I didn't draw or paint since  I was feeling under the weather so I brought out one of my recent graphite drawings that I still have around here.  It's of Bert McCracken of "The Used".  It is one half of a commission that never was completed/paid for.   I hope to get back on track for day nine.

Day 7 of the 30 day challenge.    I was out in the morning in the morning to some tag sales and all I saw was lighthouses, figurines, books and pictures.  I thought it would be great to do a quick lighthouse.  I'm still working in pastels especially after going to Jerrysartarama and buying $59 worth of pencils for this challenge.

Some how this didn't post this morning like it was supposed to for Day 6...

  Today I didn't have too much time and wanted to draw something I never drew before.  I wanted to keep it simple and see if I could accomplish something good.  I decided on a simple orange in colored pencil. 

I'm hoping to get some great drawings done this weekend., we'll see.

Well I tried my hand at a handsome horse who belongs to my friend Melissa.  It still needs a little work on the shading but I'm running out of steam and wanted to post something for the day.

Today is day four of the 30 day challenge.  I was feeling lazy and needed to keep it simple.  My friend Laurie mentioned a stargazer lily and I thought that might be fun... Still playing with pastels too.  Maybe tomorrow I'll get serious....

Day 3 of 30 for 30.  Still playing with pastels... thought I'd switch it up away from animals and work on a sunflower..  Maybe tomorrow I'll be back to animals!

Day two of the 30 for 30  I chose one of the photos sent to me on my blog by Tina Thomas.  It's her puppy Camo.  I did this in charcoal and pastels.  I hope she likes it.!

Well September is here and so is the 30 day challenge.  Today I finished a colored pencil piece of an eagle that I've been working on all week.    I wanted to spend some time today planning the next few days pictures and I have many ideas from my friends of things to paint.    Stay tuned for day two....
